Did you see that New York Times article from last summer about how all anybody talks about these days is how busy they are and how we are trying to “outdo” each other by being even more “crazy busy” than the next guy? Yeah, I read it too. And I hear the message. But the fact remains that I am busy. I am not trying to outdo anyone else with my busy life — I am just trying to keep my own busy life somewhat under control.
I have three kids, one husband, one house, one company and a new puppy. I write a blog. I write for a local magazine. I am on a school board. I love my friends and family and like to see those folks from time to time. These thing keep me busy. Some days these thing keep me so busy that I literally do not know how to fit everything into one 24-hour period.
But I have some secrets to making our busy life work. And I am sharing them with you because I know that all moms are busy. These tips won’t change your life — but they may buy you the time you need to take an extra long shower, sneak in a manicure or just flop on your couch and indulge in a Real Housewives episode — ’cause you deserve it, girl.
